Robert J. “Bobby” Makheja has established himself as an exceptional visionary leader and successful transformational experienced business leader over the past three decades. As President & CEO of MFGS, Inc., he built and led the company in three short years to become one of the top technology solution providers to the United States Government. Honored for his industry leadership, Robert J. “Bobby” Makheja was a few finalists for the FedScoop 50 Award in 2020.
Mr. Makheja earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Engineering from The George Washington University. He later went on to graduate with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) of Law and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.).
Prior, Mr. Makheja. was a critical part in leading the merger and integration of HPE Software with Micro Focus International (IPO NYSE MFGP Sept. 2017, LSE MFGP.L) for $8.8B, to become the 7th largest pure play software company globally. Early in his career, Makheja led in growing Peregrine Systems, an enterprise software company based in California, and then was an integral part in the sale to Hewlett-Packard for $425m. Prior to that, he was Vice President at Oracle Corporation where he was recognized for both his stellar performance and ethical standards, as well as other leadership positions at IBM, and Texas Instruments.
Most recently, Mr. Makheja earned the Top Tech Innovators of the Year award for 2021. In addition to his full-time work, Bobby Makheja is a board member on the Fairfax County Economic Advisory Council. He spends his leisure time playing tennis and skiing.
